Member correspondence Adrian Hirsch in Europe and Rhonda & Barry Sales somewhere in Australia! 25/07/10 Morning,Well its morning here in Berlin. Sorry about the delay, but when in Frankfurt it took a while to find a pool close by to train at, so only really had 1 day. Even doing a short session, it felt like a long one with the water temperature well over 30 degrees in an indoor pool. The local pool near the hotel in Berlin is closed for renovations, but there is an outdoor which I'm hoping will be ok. RegardsAdrianp.s. More updates once I get to Sweden. 26/07/10 We are missing all our mates in the club, but you are all in our thoughts, the trip has been wonderfull we have seen a lot,at the moment Baz is out on his board at a wonderfull place on the coast of Queensland,Agnes Waters. We have a site on the beach with million dollar views of the surf i can see Baz on the waves as i am typing this,we will stay 7 days then move on down the coast. Please stay well. love Rhonda & Barry 30/07/10 Got in this evening and had accreditation so I'm all official. It's been raining since I got here, its supposed to be like that until Saturday, hope the lake is warm by next weekend. Regards, Adrian.
02/08/10 Evening All,Today Event 6 - 100m Freestyle for Men, Heat 74 of 108, Lane 10. 1st Heat estimated to start at 11:30.I've had a look at the results and it is not showing a time, but all most lost my googles when starting and was not far off getting a time recorded. Bit disappointing first up but there is always tomorrow.Speaking of which.Event 12 - 200m Freestyle for Men, Heat 60 of ?, Lane 6. 1st heat is estimated to start at 13:00.Event 16 - 50m Butterfly for men, Heat 72 of ?, Lane 2. 1st heat estimated to start at 17:00And Tuesday.Event 16 - 50m Freestyle for men, Heat 95 of 135, Lane 4. 1st heat estimated to start at 9:00And finally Friday and Saturday.Training day on the lake on 6/08/2010, between 13:00 and 16:00.Technical meeting for the OWS at Vahalla on 6/08/2010 at 18:00 3km OWS on 7/08/2010 1st wave estimated start time 11:00The sun has been shining most of the day today, so the water temperature in the lake might be ok.Also got some photo's of the warmup pool at Vahalla today, but they don't really do it justice. After seeing this I think we could fit a few more in at each training session. As we had all 8 lanes in a 25m pool, each with about 10 people in them and not all doing the same stroke (entertaining to watch).Regards Adrian
03/08/10 Evening all, very long day at the pool, I'll attach the picture but it may not work for some of you as it is very large.Pool is a 6 lane 25m pool for warm-up, as you can see from the picture lane 1 looks rather empty, that is because it is a one way sprint lane. so all the other lanes have at least 10 or more swimmers in them.Regards, Adrian p.s. was able to get my time off the timing boards today, even if they aren't going to be showing on the results sheet.
04/08/10 Afternoon All, Here are my unofficial times as best I can remember from the timing boards pool side. 200m Free 2:33.11 50m Fly 35.23 50m Free 31.11 Regards, Adrian p.s. Looking forward to Saturday so I can get an official time in something. Check out the local weather conditions
